Previously, SysAudits leadership staff served in several high-profile roles, including Director of IS Audit at the following organizations:

• Smithsonian Institution, Office of Inspector General

SysAudits leadership:

• Conducting regulatory assessments (ITAR, FISMA, HIPAA) across corporate and government IT operations, including contract compliance, outsourced data centers, and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Drafting national cybersecurity policies under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) for the Director of National Intelligence
• Delivering executive-level briefings, including C-suite presentations and Congressional testimony
• Overseeing technical assessments such as pentesting and disaster recovery planning
• Providing forensic and technical support for Federal Agent cybercrime investigations

In addition to audit leadership, SysAudits leadership staff have held key executive IT operations roles:

• Chief Information Officer, Defense Security Service (DSS) now known as Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency: Executive leadership and management oversight for all IT operations to include multiple data centers, multiple networks (nipr, sipr, jwics), systems engineering, application development, cybersecurity, IT policy, budget and resource planning. Managed a $100M+ annual budget and led a team of over 150+ professionals supporting 70+ locations.
• Director, Designated Approving Authority, DSS: Acted as CISO type role for cleared industry, responsible for certification and accreditation under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) of over 40,000 information systems across 14,000+ DOD contractor sites.

Academic Contributions:

SysAudits leadership staff have also supported higher ed as adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching Information Assurance and IT Audit.
